Artist Statement;

Without preconceived ideas, I begin an abstract painting with random marks while employing my subconscious emotions, thoughts and previous experiences. This leads to the formation of a visual composition. Being an introvert, the use of lines, shapes, colors and textures in the paint enables me to express my “inner self” which I find difficult to do it in words. Paintings are complete when they demonstrate visual lyrical components that are in tune with my “inner vibes.”

As a teenager, my parents indulged my art interest by enrolling me at Newark Arts High School in New Jersey. As my student years progressed, art took a backseat to pursue a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a M.D.with board certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. After raising a family and a 34 year career as a cardiologist, I was finally able to rekindle my passion for art. Over the last several years, I have been immersed in pursuit of a career as an artist.

Knowledge acquired from an engineering and medical background has afforded me a unique perspective that draws upon logical and intuitive thinking which is the foundation of my artwork.
