"My perfect evening in San Francisco is watching as the lights come on at dusk and radiate into the night. I aim to capture the intensity of the glimmering light against each of the muted colored buildings through my paintings.

I am attracted to vibrant and vivid colors that are not normally found in a traditional, urban cityscape. By painting the image over a tremendously colorful under painting, I am able to allow pockets of color to show through without being distracting.

A palette knife is used throughout each painting. I find that the strong textural impact, along with the intense color contrast, help to grab the viewer’s attention and evoke emotion." -Gina Tecson, 2012
